Another East St. Louis Flyers star gets a scholarship offer from an SEC school

The college scholarship offers keep mounting for East St. Louis junior Keontez Lewis.

Part of one of the top wide receiver quartets in the Midwest, the 6-2 180-pound Lewis said on his twitter account last week he had picked up an offer from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

A major contributor for an East St. Louis team which averaged over 50 points per game in finishing the ‘19 season 14-0 and winning the Class 6A state title, Lewis had 39 receptions for 825 yards and 10 touchdowns a year ago.

Ranked as the No. 15 overall prospect in Illinois and No. 70 wide receiver in the nation for the Class of ‘21 by 247 Sports, Lewis has scholarship offers from many top programs including Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, South Carolina, Texas A&M and West Virginia.

Lewis is just one of several East St. Louis juniors being heavily recruited. Another Flyers wide receiver, Dominic Lovett recently picked offers from LSU and Alabama.
