Body reportedly discovered along bank of Mississippi River

A body was found Saturday evening in Monroe County, according to KTVI Channel 2.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told KTVI that the body of a 50-60 year old man was discovered along the bank of the Mississippi River. First responders were on hand Saturday afternoon at the base of the Jefferson Barracks bridge, KTVI reported.

A cause of death was not immediately available.
