A Cahokia man accused of stealing from a woman Aug. 2 at a MetroLink station in St. Louis was working as a security guard at the station.

Police say they have surveillance footage of 59-year-old Murphy Outlaw taking items out of the woman’s purse at the Convention Center MetroLink, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Post-Dispatch reported he was employed through a third-party security firm.

Court records indicate he is facing felony and misdemeanor charges of stealing.
