For $3, Freeburg woman wins big Illinois lottery prize
A Freeburg woman will get to visit her daughter in the U.S. Air Force after winning $50,000 on an Illinois lottery scratch ticket.
Rhonda Pour said she stopped at a Belleville Circle K for gas and decided to buy the winning $3 Keno ticket.
“When I saw how much I won, I started shaking and crying,” she said to Illinois Lottery officials.
“I was in the right place at the right time!”
The Keno lottery game still has two $50,000 prizes that have not been claimed.
The Circle K, at 755 S. Belt West, received $500 – 1 percent of the prize money for selling the ticket – after Pour won the $50,000 prize.
