Belleville teens charged with armed robberies
Two Belleville teens have been charged with stealing money from a man in Belleville.
Thomas G. Bowen, 18, and Marvin Wallace, 19, were charged Friday with two counts of stealing money from a man and threatening him with a handgun, according to charging documents. Bowen was also charged with an additional two counts of armed robbery and stealing a purse, duffel bag and a cell phone from a woman. Both alleged robberies occurred June 3.
Bowen’s bail was set at $400,000 and Wallace’s was at $300,000. Both remained at the St. Clair County Jail as of Sunday morning.
Bowen was also charged with minor in possession of alcohol in July, and charges are still pending. Wallace does not have any criminal history in St. Clair County.
