Woman tried to steal bottles of liquor, then threw them at store workers, police say
A woman threw two bottles of stolen liquor at Schnucks employees Tuesday in Godfrey, police said in a post asking the public to help identify her.
Employees approached the woman in the parking lot around 1:30 p.m. after they say she stole four bottles of liquor from the store, a Facebook post on the Madison County Sheriff’s Office page said.
She began to argue with the employees before throwing two bottles at them and dropping the other two on the ground. She then ran to a blue full-size van and drove off, police said.
Police asked that anyone who recognizes the woman in the surveillance picture to Facebook message the Madison County Sheriff’s Office or call them at 618-692-4433.
People can also call the agency’s anonymous tip line at 618-296-3000.
