Carlinville man dies in house fire
A man died in a house fire Sunday morning in Carlinville.
Macoupin County Coroner Brad Targhetta said Clarence A. Turner, 62, died in his home Sunday at 204 Chiles St.
The Carlinville Fire Department responded before 7 a.m. Sunday. Turner’s body was found after the fire was put out, according to Fox 2 news.
Turner lived alone, Targhetta said, and had family in the metro-east.
An autopsy was being performed Monday morning.
