O’Fallon police seek ‘person of interest’ in Dollars 4 Gold holdup

More than a week after an armed robbery was reported at Dollars 4 Gold, O’Fallon Police Department said Friday that they were seeking a “person of interest.”

O’Fallon police identified the person as 21-year-old Wadell R. Savage Jr. of East St. Louis.

Savage is wanted for a parole violation, according to police. He is 5-foot-11, weighs about 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Police said Savage should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police arrested one suspect in connection with the armed robbery on June 14. The suspect, 29-year-old Trent L. Yates of East St. Louis, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery.
