Several rounds of heavy rainfall expected to hit metro-east
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for portions of Missouri and Illinois, including St. Clair and Monroe counties until Tuesday morning.
Several rounds of heavy rainfall are expected through Monday night. The flash flood warning is scheduled to expire at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
High temperatures this week are predicted to be in the 70s and 80s.

Tonight...Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 67. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 8 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Monday...Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 77. East wind 8 to 11 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Monday night...Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a low around 68. West wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Tuesday...A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the morning.
Tuesday night...Partly cloudy, with a low around 67.
Wednesday...A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
