Donut worry: Voting is still open for the best doughnuts in southwest IL. See results so far
I wrote it before, and I’ll write it again: Many people appreciate a good doughnut.
The poll’s been up and running for only three days, and the votes are really coming in for this one, compared to previous food polls.
Here’s where things stand:
Kruta Bakery (Collinsville) is in the lead with 206 votes.
Three other places are battling it out for second place. Berkemann’s Baker’s Dozen in New Baden has 127 votes. Braeutigam Orchards in Belleville has 122 votes, and Wood Bakery in O’Fallon has 121.
It’s a close one!

So take the nice, long holiday weekend as an opportunity to pick up some yummy doughnuts from a few of these places. Run your own little doughnut tasting and decide which of these places does theirs best.
