Metro-east Golden Corral announces it will close at month’s end
A metro-east Golden Corral restaurant will close at the end of the month.
Owners of the location at 350 Homer M. Adams Parkway in Alton posted a notice to customers stating despite efforts to keep the business open, “the location is no longer able to operate sustainably.”
The restaurant’s last day is Thursday, April 30.
The Alton location is part of a franchise owned by Farmington, Missouri-based R.F.R. Inc. Other restaurants in the franchise include the Shiloh location and Missouri sites on Lindbergh Boulevard in St. Louis and Bramblett Road in O’Fallon.
A message left for Gary Hurst of R.F.R. Inc. was not immediately returned.
The Alton location temporarily closed in July 2022 for remodeling and reopened in May 2023. Shiloh’s Golden Corral was remodeled in summer 2023 and reopened that November.
A Collinsville location was previously part of the R.F.R. Inc. franchise but closed during COVID. It never reopened. The site is now the home of Jade Buffet.
The Alton Golden Corral is currently open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. For more information, call 618-462-4125 or visit goldencorral.com.
