Roxy’s strip club in Brooklyn closes — owner says it’s strictly business
Roxy’s, a well-known strip club in Brooklyn, has closed until further notice.
On Nov. 21, the owners posted on Facebook that the club would close.
Mike Ocello, the club’s owner, said it was “strictly a business decision.”
“Maybe somewhere down the road, we will re-concept or re-brand, but at this particular time, a decision has been made,” he said.
In the post, Roxy’s referred would-be patrons to visit Ocello’s other clubs, including PT’s in Centreville and to Country Rock Cabaret and Diamond Cabaret in Sauget.
In July the club made headlines when three people overdosed on what is believed to be fentanyl. Five people, including two police officers who responded to the scene, were taken to the hospital.
The club was cleaned and reopened about a week later.
