POLL: Planning to attend games of the St. Louis City, SC, a professional soccer team?
While the city of St. Louis lost to Rams back to Los Angeles, fans will have a chance to enjoy a new professional team starting in 2023.
The city was awarded a Major League Soccer expansion franchise in August 2019 — St. Louis City SC — with home matches slated for Centene Stadium, which is still under construction. St. Louis will become the MLS’s 28th franchise.
The St. Louis City SC ownership group consists of Enterprise Holdings Foundation president Carolyn Kindle Betz and female members of the Taylor family (Enterprise Holdings), and is the first female majority-owned team in MLS. The group also includes CEO of World Wide Technology, Jim Kavanaugh, and members of the Kavanaugh family.
The latest Belleville News-Democrat poll wants to know if you will plan to attend these games and support the professional franchise in St. Louis. The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
To be clear, this poll is not scientific. In fact, we invite you to vote as many times as you want. It’s all for fun, BND readers. People also may submit the same athlete from week to week.
We are planning to post the results later this week after the poll closes.
