A Fairview Heights thrift store quietly opens. Grand opening plans are set for July
I recently reported that the St. Vincent de Paul National Thrift Store in Fairview Heights set a grand opening date.
St. Vincent de Paul National Thrift Store will celebrate its grand opening Monday, July 8, at 9 a.m.
I was also awaiting a response from Jim Conley, National Store Support Manager for St. Vincent de Paul, about a few details, including store hours. Over the weekend I received that response.
Starting July 8, the store’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
However, the store is currently open.
Conley wrote in an email to the BND that soft opening hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday until the July 8 grand opening.
Donations are currently accepted from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Items most needed are shoes, linens, electronics and quality furniture. Also accepted are men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, accessories and housewares, such as pots and pans, dishes, decorations and more.
All donated items should be in good condition with no stains or damage.
St. Vincent de Paul National Thrift Store is located at 10850 Lincoln Trail, Suite 2, in Fairview Heights.
