O’Fallon boys tennis team stays hot, captures 1st place at Triad Tournament
The O’Fallon boys tennis team continued their impressive 2022 spring campaign, capturing first place in their draw in the Triad Tournament on Saturday, April 9.
The Panthers went 3-0 in tournament action while improving to 9-1. OTHS defeated the Batavia second team 5-0, Belleville West 4-1 and Jacobs 3-2 to win the tournament.
“A special shout-out to Cameron Woll, Rowen Brunner, and Ben VanAlstine, who won all their matches in the tournament,” Panthers coach Erin Thoman said.
Against Batavia, Gavin Sohn and Ben VanAlstine won in singles action, while Kaiden Vollmer/Nic Strobel, Cameron Woll/Rowen Brunner and Wyatt Heap/Jacob Vahle won in doubles.
Against Belleville West, Sohn and VanAlstine again prevailed in singles, while Vollmer/Strobel and Woll/Brunner prevailed in doubles.
Against Jacobs, VanAlstine won in singles, while Woll/Brunner and Heap/Vahle won in doubles.
