O’Fallon High School boys tennis team shows well at Southwestern Conference Tournament

The O’Fallon High School boys tennis team posted a strong third-place performance at the Southwestern Conference Tournament on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, in Alton.

The Panthers finished with 49 points, just one point behind second-place finisher Belleville East. Edwardsville won the tournament with 62 points.

“We were one point away from second place — we were very close and right there,” OTHS coach Erin Thoman said. “In all nine semifinals, we played East and won five of the matches and East won four. The matches we lost in the semis were all in third sets.”
