Why are you running?
Working my way up from a Parks Department employee to Public Works coordinator has given me the experience and insight to accomplish daily tasks that are vital to the success of the village and its residents. For 18 years, I have committed myself to water and sewer improvements, renovations to our parks and the planning and execution of a village-wide street maintenance program. I believe Glen Carbon residents deserve a mayor who is informed and accessible. If elected, I will have the capacity to provide exclusive attention to the village by establishing daily office hours at Village Hall with an open-door policy for residents to voice their opinions and concerns. My daily presence will enable me to interact with all village departments to confirm responsibility and accountability. Additionally, I will continue to support the police in full capacity to ensure our community remains a safe place to live.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
I feel the top issue in this race is a disconnect in communication between municipal government and residents. I plan to address this by having daily office hours established at Village Hall with an open-door policy that will allow residents to voice their opinions and concerns.
Why should people vote for you?
People should vote for me because as an employee of the village for the last 18 years, I have the experience and insight into daily operations that are needed for the village to run successfully. Additionally, I believe this town deserves a mayor who is more accessible to the residents of Glen Carbon. I am the only candidate in this race who will have the capacity to provide daily interaction with both residents and employees at Village Hall during normal business hours.
