Why are you running? I want to continue efforts to strengthen and update the curriculum to give our students a diverse education.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? A top issue is moving forward out of an emergency pandemic posture and finding the right blend of direct and remote learning that will motivate all students to give their best effort. I am trying as a current board member to make sure each teacher has what they need to put out consistent lessons so that the content given to the student is the same in person or remote.
Why should people vote for you? I am an objective manager and leader that can facilitate a meeting of diverse ideas and come out of it with a well thought out resolution. I like formulating a plan looking for a long-term solution not a short fix. I think proactively not reactively and that is essential for many school board topics. I have background in many topics that is proven to be of worth to a school board such as labor relations, budget and finance, building construction and repair, curriculum updating and creation, team building and facilitating meetings, hiring and performance management.
