Why are you running? As a current Dupo CUSD 196 School Board member, I wish to continue our partnership with the school in providing a quality education with meaningful activities both inside and outside of the classroom. I believe as a member of the School Board we have the opportunity to use our voice to help shape the future for all of the kids in our community.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? As a School Board, we continually strive to collaborate with all of the stakeholders to address both the school’s mission for a broad-based curriculum as well as Bluffview’s mission to “provide a safe and enriching environment where all students are challenged to develop social and academic skills to become life-long learners,” We need to continue to explore opportunities for dual credit courses, address facility’s issues, and ensure students, teachers, staff, and administration remain safe through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Why should people vote for you? Since our family moved to Dupo in 2013, when my husband Todd accepted the minister’s role at Christ UCC, our family has been engaged and vested in the Dupo community. Our two daughters, Page (grade 9) and Izzy (grade 5), are active at school and participate in many of the school’s extra-curricular activities. I want to see them and their classmates thrive and achieve scholastically. I’m eager to continue to make a difference in our community. And it is always a great day to be a Tiger!
