Occupation: Special Education Teacher

Please list the highlights of your civic involvement: I have been a special education advocate within the surrounding communities for the past 10 years. I have been a Cub Scout/Boy Scout leader for the past seven years; I have been active in Illinois Freemasonry since 2012.

Why are you running? I believe the school board needs a teacher’s voice, one that will provide some perspective that the board is currently lacking. I will be a voice for all in the Village of Freeburg, including the teachers and employees of district 70.

What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? I believe that the students have been suffering from a lack of updated educational materials. I plan to address this issue by forcing the board to look closely at upcoming finances and to make tough choices that will benefit not only the children of Freeburg, but the school as a whole.

Why should people vote for you? I believe in supporting the students and faculty of Freeburg District 70 first and foremost. A vote for me is a vote for the students and teachers of the district.
