Please list highlights of your civic involvement: I have always taken pride in lending a hand in our community whether it be with local organizations such as the VFW, local Scouts or simply a neighbor in need. Years ago I also served on the Planning Commission.
Why are you running? As a long-term resident and spouse of a lifelong resident, we are raising our daughter in this community that people once were proud to call home. I want to do my part to help restore that small town feeling while welcoming growth so that future generations will be happy to raise a family here.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? As a resident and taxpayer in our village, I share many of the same concerns I hear others express. I am concerned that longtime residents are leaving due to decreased property values and fears of where our community is heading. I would like to work with other local officials and agencies to strengthen the building maintenance ordinances to help clean up the community.
Why should people vote for you? I truly care about our community and would like the opportunity to play a more active role in presenting ideas and making decisions that affect the future of Caseyville. I would like to bridge the communication gap between the residents and those elected to serve them.
