East St. Louis wide receiver picks up a pair of NCAA Division I scholarship offers

The college scholarship offers keep rolling in for the East St. Louis wide receiver tandem of Keontez Lewis and Dominic Lovett.

Lewis, a 6-2 180-pound junior, is the latest to generate interest from the top collegiate programs in the nation as he announced last week on his twitter account he has received offers from Southeastern Conference power Auburn and UCLA from the PAC-12.

Ranked as the No. 15 junior in the state according to 247 Sports, Lewis had 39 receptions for 825 yards and 10 touchdowns a year ago. In addition to former national champion Auburn and UCLA, Lewis also has offers from Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, South Carolina, Texas A&M and West Virginia..

Lovett, the No. 4 ranked junior, recently picked up offers from national champion LSU, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, Mississippi State and Arkansas. Previously, Lovett had offers from Illinois, Missouri, Purdue, Iowa State, Louisville, West Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan State and Northwestern.

Both Lewis and Lovett will return for their final season at East St. Louis begining in August as the Flyers begin defense of their Class 6A state title
