If you live in East St. Louis and need a vaccine, the city is offering these options
East St. Louis residents who want a COVID-19 vaccine now have multiple local options within the city.
In partnership with Walgreens, East St. Louis officials are hosting open COVID vaccinations at the city’s annual children’s Halloween celebration from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at East St. Louis City Hall, 301 River Park Drive.
Catholic Urban Programs also will host a COVID vaccination event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 Vieux Carre Drive, East St. Louis.
Meanwhile, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. will host a vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Mary Brown Center, 606 S. 15th St., East St. Louis.
This will include the first, second and booster doses of Pfizer, Moderna and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Open to all and free. No appointment required.
The following locations provide vaccinations in East St. Louis as well.

Halloween vaccine clinic in East St. Louis
The East St. Louis graduate members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated’s Alpha Upsilon Sigma Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and Incorporated’s Delta Delta Omega Chapter, in partnership with the Community Life Line Agency and the Illinois Department of Public Health, will jointly host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Sunday, Oct. 31, at New Life Community Church, 1919 State St., East St. Louis.
The first portion of the clinic will be while services take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., before moving outside to New Life’s Annual Fall Festival and Trunk & Treat event from 3-5 p.m.
The Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available during the clinic, along with the Pfizer booster and onsite registration.

Below is a list of additional county locations offering COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots::
Belle-Clair Fairgrounds — 200 S Belt E #2650, Belleville, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Appointments are strongly encouraged but not required.
St. Clair County Health Department — 330 West Main St., Belleville, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through-Saturday. Appointments should be scheduled at www.co.st-clair.il.us/departments/health-department or by phone at 618-233-7703.
