102-year-old Belleville man dies in head-on crash at Frank Scott Parkway, police say

A 102-year-old man died Friday after a two-vehicle accident on Frank Scott Parkway near Fountain Lakes Drive.

Clarence A. Tritley of Belleville was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, Shiloh Police said.

Tritley was driving west on Frank Scott Parkway when an eastbound van crossed the center line and hit Tritley’s car head-on, according to Shiloh Police.

The van driver was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police said they are not releasing the driver’s identity because of the ongoing investigation. They said he is cooperating with the investigation.
