St. Louis man faces felony charges for ‘numerous’ overnight burglaries in Shiloh

A St. Louis man is facing four felony charges in connection with “several” car burglaries in October, police say.

With the help of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, Shiloh police identified Patrick Peete, 22, of St. Louis, as one of two suspects being investigated.

Shiloh Police officers responded Piper Hills Drive Wednesday, Oct. 2, at around 1 a.m. in response to a report of two vehicles driving around the neighborhood without their lights on. A caller told police they had seen the suspects inside the two cars entering other parked vehicles.

Both suspects fled the area when officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

Police received numerous reports of vehicle burglaries in the days following the incident, according to Shiloh Police.

Peete has been charged with four class 3 felonies for burglary and is currently being held at $150,000 bond at the St. Louis County Jail.

The incident is the third this week in which St. Louis residents were charged with auto theft or car burglaries in the metro-east.

On Monday, the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Kaleb R. Holmes, 18, and Alexis N. Brown, 23, each with one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking, one count of armed robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a stolen firearm after the carjacking of a Collinsville Uber driver Sunday.

Wednesday, New Baden Police announced JeQuan Hill, also of St. Louis, was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, armed robbery, and felon in possession of a weapon. Hill was arrested in Fairmont City shortly after police say he carjacked a red Chevrolet Cruse from a woman parked at a New Baden Subway.
