Why are you running?
To be involved in the day to day affairs of the city. To address the needs and concerns of the citizens. To promote economic growth.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
I hear a lot about transparency and would like to make sure the citizens are receiving the needed communication to make informed decisions.
Why should people vote for you?
Wood River is where I Iive. I grew up and raised my family here. My parents owned and now my sister owns the same small local business. Charlie’s Drive In has been family owned for 45 years. Charlie’s Drive In is located directly across from the high school and what use to be the aquatic center. Save the Roundhouse was an issue in the general election. Something needs to be back between the high school and the Roundhouse. For much of the last two decades I have been involved with successfully negotiating collective bargaining agreements with Ameren, Metrolink, SIUE and others. I feel I could play a role in the decision making for the future of Wood River.
