Students across St. Clair County may see some new leaders for the 2025-26 school year.

The Belleville News-Democrat gathered a list of new principals and superintendents at public and private schools in St. Clair County. We then sent out a questionnaire to the new administrators at the schools who responded to help parents and students get to know their new school leaders before summer ends.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the BND gathered 23 responses: four are from new superintendents and 19 are from new principals. Some of these new leaders have been with their districts for a long time, while others are transferring from different area schools.

Along with comments from the administrators about their outlook for the new school year, the information includes the base salaries for public school employees.

The BND did not send questionnaires to assistant and associate principals and assistant and associate superintendents.

Brooklyn Unit School District 188, Elite Scholars STEAM Academy in Swansea and the Illinois Center for Autism in Fairview Heights did not immediately notify the BND of potential new administrators. Stephanie Cain, K-5 elementary principal at First Baptist Academy in O’Fallon, did not immediately submit a questionnaire response.
