The Illinois Department of Public Health reported yet another increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the state Monday.
During Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s daily COVID-19 news conference, Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike announced 1,173 new cases of the virus and 74 additional deaths.
The announcement brings the statewide total of positive coronavirus cases to 22,025 and the total number of deaths to 794.
The age of cases ranges from younger than 1 to older than 100, the department stated in a release Monday.
